Who is Kombat League?
F.I.K.F. “International Federation, Kickboxing e Freefight” is a federation, as you can already understand from the name, which is essentially dedicated to all rings’ sport.
The over 200 associated and the over 10.000 registered athletes, bring KL today to be one of the 2 major federation in Italy for combat sports.
Federal disciplines are: Semi Contact, Light Contact, Kick Light, K-1 Light, Muay Thai Light, Kickboxing, K-1 Rules, Full Contact, Thai Boxe/Muay Thai, Submission-Wrestling, Brasilian JJ, Shootfighting, Vale Tudo,Karate, Sanda, Light Sanda, Traditional Kung Fu and Wushu.
The over 200 amateur and professional events which crowded the 2009/2010 calendar, brought KL to be a strong international reality, and this season hasn’t been a goal only for the Federation itself, but, due to its hard work, for the whole fight sport sector in Italy.

Same as last year, a national team from Thailand will come to attend to the amateur tournament, 1st series. The weight categories are the following: -57kg, -60kg, -63,5kg, -67kg, -71kg. The Coach will be Saengtiennoi and he will also take a seminar during the event.
In those weight categories for Muay Thai, the winners will not gain prize money, but they will be completely paid to go to Thailand for King's Birthday 2011. If the winner will be the Thai fighter, than the second place will go to make a rematch in Bangkok for the title.
- Team Aerts Italy has born, which will permit to all fighters who will be selected for their sporting merits, to open all the doors in the whole world, due to the reputation of the legendary K-1 champion who is giving the name to this Team: Peter Aerts.
The newborn “Team Aerts Italy” is the PRO stable with the best fighters in K-1 and MMA in Italy.
From the experience of Kombat League (Italian Federation of fighting sports) earned during years of intense team-work, we reached finally this important goal, that is permitting to the ones who were the best athletes in KL, to radically improve their careers.
Max Baggio and Emiliano Lanci earned the possibility to use the prestigious name of the big champion Peter Aerts, to create a best fighters team, which will get all open doors around the world.
The reference circuits are K-1 WGP, K-1 Max and DREAM.
The Team Aerts Italy management will follow scrupulously the work programmed from the Official Team Aerts born in Holland, under the direct supervision of Peter Aerts. The fighting activity is managed, for the K-1 disciplines, from Max Baggio and for the MMA from Emiliano Lanci. 
- CIJJE has born, Italian Confederation Jiu Jitsu Esportivo, official partner in Italy of the homonymous Brasilian Confederation.
Infact another sector where Kombat League is very strong in Italy is the MMA with over 30 events in a year.
- F.I.O.S. Italian Federation of Oriental Sports was born in 2009, for the whole activity regarding Amateur MMA.
- F.M.T.I. Italian Federation of Muay Thai has born in 2009. This Federation, supported in professional events by the biggest Muay Thai promoter in the World, Onesongchai, has the goal to be admitted in the Italian Olympic Committee.
- The first Italian Fighter, in the whole history of the combat sports, participating to the great event K-1 Max Final 16 in Hiroshima, Japan: Saro “The Sicilian Don” Presti, Kombat League fighter.
- First official K-1 Europe Max in Italy. Modena May 10th 2008.
- First official S-1 Tournament in Italy, Riccione, June 21st 2008.
- First official "The Contender Asia Italian Qualifier" in Italy, Modena, March 07th 2009.
